Due to server issues caused by heavy traffic in the hours
leading up to the original deadline, some applicants were
unable to submit their entries. To ensure fairness and
provide an equal opportunity to all interested companies, we
have decided to extend the application period. We look

We will hold "SusHi Tech Tokyo 2024" in May 2024.
Its event concept is to be Asia's largest startup event that
will open up the future and create exciting innovations.
During the event, 「SusHi Tech Challenge」, a global pitch
contest in which selected startups from Japan and abroad
compete with their technologies and ideas to confront the
challenges the world faces, will be held.
Starting on October 27th (Friday), we will begin accepting
applications from startups interested in participating in
this pitch competition. We encourage eligible startups to
submit their entries.
- Purpose of Pitch Contest

This pitch competition is designed to provide startups
working on businesses that reconcile the resolution of
societal issues with economic growth, and which have the
potential to make a significant societal and economic
impact, with the opportunity to gain international
recognition and substantial growth.
Through hosting this pitch competition, we aim to foster business open innovation that will take flight from Tokyo into the future.
- Last year's results

Last year, 338 companies from over 35 countries and
cities applied for the program, and a wide variety of
startups gave presentations.
The winning company of the pitch contest received a cash prize of 10 million yen, and other supplementary prizes were provided by sponsors.

- Flow and Selection Process after Entry

1. First Screening : Entry information and pitch
materials will be used for judging. (Only companies that
pass the screening will be notified in early-Februaly
2024.)
2. Second Screening : 20 companies selected through video screening(Only companies that pass the screening will be notified in mid-March 2024.)
3. Semi-Final : Pitching at the Pitch Contest on the first day of the event
4. Final : Pitch contest on the second day of the event to determine the winner.
※Both final and semi-final pitches will be 5 minutes long + 3 minutes for Q&A.

- Travel and Accommodation Expenses to Japan (Venue: TOKYO BIG SIGHT -Tokyo International Exhibition Center-)
- The participants are expected to pay their own travel and accommodation expenses.

However, the content of the application, along with the applicant's name and affiliation, may be publicly disclosed on the website or other platforms at the discretion of the Administrative Office on the web page, etc.

- Portrait Rights

- ・All photographs, videos, and records taken during the event belong to the organizer. The information may be published on Internet sites, newspapers, magazines, television, etc. Participants are considered to have agreed to photography and public display as a condition of participating in this event.
