At SusHi Tech Tokyo, a platform for envisioning and debating the future of cities, we focus each year on domains where innovation drives major transformations in society and people’s lives. Through this approach, we deepen discussions on technologies that enable sustainable urban futures.

SusHi Tech Tokyo 2026 will center on four key themes-AI as the core, robotics that support daily life, resilience that ensures safety and security, and entertainment that enriches people’s experiences. By delivering sessions, exhibitions, and demonstrations as an integrated package, we aim to envision the future of cities, foster meaningful dialogue, and translate these ideas into real-world action.

  • AI
    focus image

AI is fundamentally reshaping the nature of innovation across every industrial sector. In just the past few years, it has advanced dramatically—expanding from text and video generation to automating production and logistics, and even permeating fields directly connected to daily life such as caregiving, healthcare, and disaster management.
We explore how humans and AI can coexist and collaborate, and what form AI should take to enrich human society.

  • Robotics
    focus image

With the fusion of AI and robotics, a wide range of tasks once performed by people—such as autonomous driving, factory automation, and customer service in restaurants—are rapidly becoming automated in the real world.
Against the backdrop of AI’s accelerating evolution, we discuss how robotics, with increasing autonomy and versatility, can be implemented in society to make everyday life more convenient and enriching for all.

  • Resilience
    focus image

Climate-related disasters—sometimes described as “global boiling”—are becoming more frequent across the world, while Japan continues to face earthquakes and severe storms. Conflicts and cyberattacks add further risks. In such crises, cities need the ability to sustain essential functions and recover quickly.
Drawing on global and Japanese experiences and the power of technology, resilience from multiple angles is explored.
