Digital twin technology that virtually represent the real-world situations has achieved great results in quick and effective disaster response operations.In this session, actual examples will be used to introduce how GIS (Geographic Information System) contributes to understanding disaster risks, predicting damage, and optimizing evacuation routes, etc. Further, this session will examine into the process of recreating complex data from the real world in virtual space and searching for more effective disaster response measures, as well as disseminating new forms of disaster prevention methods through digital twins.

With escalating climate concerns, an increasing number of policymakers and business leaders are focusing on climate challenges, putting sustainable management concepts – including ESG and SDGs (sustainable development goals) – at a pivotal juncture. Amidst rising concerns and new opportunities, Japanese companies are setting very ambitious goals to lead the decarbonization.
