Unlocking ASEAN Markets: Opportunities and Expectations for Japan's Young EntrepreneursWith the economic growth of Southeast Asian countries, such as Thailand, there is an increasing number of consumers seeking improved quality of life, presenting a significant business opportunity for Japan. In particular, high-quality Japanese products and technologies, such as cosmetics and food, are highly regarded in the ASEAN market. By leveraging the strength of the Japanese brand and actively collaborating with local companies to develop the combined market of Japan and ASEAN, totaling 800 million people, Japanese companies can expect both regional development and their own growth.
The Tokyo Metropolitan Government's "SusHi Tech Tokyo" is an excellent initiative supporting young entrepreneurs who will lead the future of Asia. Collaboration with the sister city Bangkok is expected to promote cooperation between young companies from both countries.
Additionally, CP's incubation facility, True Digital Park, hosts the "Rock Thailand", an event to support Japanese startups, which is anticipated to serve as a base for expanding into the ASEAN market in the future.
The global economy is currently facing a crisis. However, a crisis encompasses both "danger" and "opportunity." By deepening economic cooperation between Japan and Asia, integrating markets, and adhering to the "Three Benefits Principle"—prioritizing the country where business is conducted, its citizens, and finally, corporate profits—we are confident that sustainable urban development and corporate growth can be achieved.Day2
